Whitney Tandon has been the director of the elementary and middle school orchestras in the Wayland Public Schools since 2008; her ensembles have repeatedly earned superior ratings at festivals and gold medals at the MICCA festival. She has also served as director of the Sudbury Valley New Horizons Orchestra, and maintains a private violin studio. Ms. Tandon began conducting with The Rivers Youth Orchestras in the fall of 2016, and currently conducts the Preparatory Orchestra; she attended Middlebury College, and earned her Master’s degree in music education from Boston University.
